Gunnar Helland, 1914.  

This instrument is by Gunnar Helland, 1914.  It is in excellent condition.  Nothing that I would call damage, and very, very little wear.  It is fully decorated, and is unusual in that it has six understrings.

I took the fiddle over to a local player, and moved the sound post around to improve the sound.  He says it is "fun to play".

The instrument is completely set up and ready to play.
